Review and Approve Agenda: Approved.

7:10 PM: Public Comment:Tim Cosgrove of Hobart expressed concern about seeming greatly increased traffic on Hiway 18 and other main roads in unincorporated South King County. Council members agreed and voiced concern over a seeming lack or coordination between the area cities and the county in dealing with the problem. A Transportation Subcommittee (consisting of Warren Iverson, John Huson, Gordon Moorman and Peter Rimbos) has been established with Warren Iverson as Chair to look into the issue.

7:40 PM: Annual Model Train Show: Another successful Train Show was held the weekend of October 20-23. We made a small profit.

8:00 PM: Review of Proposed By-Laws Changes: The council approved minor changes last Spring. We need to address the phrase orderly development in that it needs more explanation. Under Article II Membership/Attendance Requirements we clarified that one may give a Proxy in the case of absence by email. The hard copy of this email must be at the meeting, however. This passed by a vote of 8-YES and 1-NO. Peter Rimbos moved to table the discussion until we had concluded the Rural Vision Statement as that might affect this definition. Motion was seconded by Warren Iverson and passed unanimously.

8:20 PM: Website Discussion: Chairman Bonewits presented a communiqué concerning our proposed website. Items to be posted on the website will be: Area Council member names and contact information, meeting announcements, meeting agendas, meeting minutes, Voice articles, official correspondence to government officials, event announcements (e.g., Train Show), By-Laws, Voter Survey results, Public Feedback, etc. There will be external links including important State and County government sites. Dave Fields is designing this site. Content control will be the responsibility of Area Council Corresponding Secretary.

9:00 PM: Continuation of Rural Vision Statement Development: Discussion on this issue was general and brief; no decisions were made.
